Surveillance & Covert Services Case Studies
Case Study #1
A former partner of a high net-worth individual had taken leave of the relationship whilst misappropriating an amount of goods and money, whilst making telephone calls to deny knowing anything of the goods and money. The client required covert surveillance teams to locate the target individual and then record evidence of their daily routine in order to confirm the allegations being made. .
After locating the target individual, he was followed around the country, by foot and vehicle teams, building evidence that his lifestyle being lived was beyond his own personal means. Photographic, video and audio evidence was gained via generic photographic and recording devices, and specialist covert devices worn by undercover operatives.
The evidence was presented to the client in a formatted report with supporting digital files. With overwhelming evidence, the client was able to confront the targeted former partner and agree to a settlement.
Case Study #2
A senior executive of a financial institution received a verified threat of harm to he and his family. A covert stand-off protective surveillance team was immediately placed on his residence and family.
Giving day and night-time coverage, the surveillance team was able to observe areas used by the executive and his family, reconnaissance and clear areas intended to be used by them, and conduct counter-surveillance methods against the threat of the family being watched or followed.
In liaison with the local police who shared a pre-arranged reference number specific to the incident being handled, the protective surveillance team allowed the targeted family the peace of mind that their daily routine was able to continue unhindered, safe in the knowledge that they were being discretely observed and protected.
Case Study #3
The Operations Director of a national company suspected that certain members of staff were using company fleet vehicles inappropriately.
With the knowledge of the Managing Director and Operations Director, specialist personnel were able to place covert satellite tracking devices onto targeted vehicles without the need to gain entry. Vehicles were able to be tracked live and remotely from a console held with Knight Associates, giving detailed mapping and written reports for the Client.
By following the movements of the targeted vehicles and analysing the routes against submitted company vehicle documents, it was found that one employee had been making fraudulent mileage claims and that another employee was using company vehicles for personal use.
