Travel Security Management Case Studies
Case Study #1
The daughter of a high net-worth family was to attend a foreign University, in a country that neither the parents nor daughter had ever visited. Knight Associates were tasked to conduct a reconnaissance and risk assessment of the daughter’s prospective University, local area, place of residence, local service provisions for leisure, routes of transport and travel, and all contact details for local police and medical services.
A specialist was deployed to conduct the task, and gained all relevant information. An in-depth written report with supporting photography was produced, detailing everything that the parents and daughter would need to know in advance of her arrival and of assistance to the daughter during her first weeks of settling in.
The quality and quantity of on-the-ground information gained through the reconnaissance and subsequent report gave the family peace of mind and ability to plan for the safety of their daughter whilst attending her chosen University.
Case Study #2
A member of a Royal Family wished to enjoy an ‘unofficial’ vacation in Germany and Greece, and requested Knight Associates to assist in his safe travel and visits.
A specialist trained low-profile Executive Protection Operative (bodyguard) was assigned to shadow the dignitary during his vacation. The assigned operative ensured that risk assessments were conducted for all locations visited, that lines of communication with local police and security authorities were kept, and that the dignitary was in a safe environment at all times during his vacation.
By keeping a low profile and not overtly making himself known as the dignitary’s physical protective aide, the dignitary was able to fully enjoy his vacation with the peace of mind in knowing that his itinerary was managed effectively to incorporate all measures ensuring safety and security.
